Enter the warm and welcoming halls of the Gamble House and experience the immersive power of sound under the guidance of sound bath practitioner MaLisa Swan. Enjoy the deep relaxation and mindfulness of a multi-instrumental sound bath with opportunities to join in discussion and share a cup of tea with community. This practice will focus on reflection and renewal as we gather to say farewell to winter and welcome the approaching spring.
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, or pillow so that you may sit comfortably throughout the event.

MaLisa Swan is an accomplished sound bath practitioner and is herself, deeply moved by the healing power of sound. She has trained in Sound healing with the Globe Recording and Sound healing Institute, in San Francisco and with Lynda Arnold in Sound bath meditation here in Southern California. Additionally she is trained in using Himalayan Sound bowls, and the monochord. Swan seeks to create a feeling of spaciousness, and conscious intentionality around each sound session, tying into deeper themes. Sound baths can be portals to healing at the best and at the least an opportunity for deep relaxation. She came to sound baths and sound healing through her experience with yoga, and grew up singing in church as a youngster. She continues to use her voice and the yogic traditions of breath and mantra in her sound sessions and seeks to serve the community in achieving rest, healing, and deep peace. She also holds a MA degree in Environmental Studies from USC and worked for many years for the National Park Service.
